The only current Finnish NBA player, Chicago Bulls’ Lauri Markkanen, has been listed on Finland’s preliminary roster for the EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers.

Markkanen, 23, last represented Finland at the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in 2018 where he averaged 20.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

After the first window of qualifiers back in February, Finland is currently 1-1 in Group E, behind Serbia (1-1) and Georgia (2-0) and ahead of Switzerland (0-2).

Finland will take on Georgia and Serbia in their next two qualifying games, which will be held in Espoo, Finland.
