New Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers is interested in adding former Chicago Bulls assistant coach Roy Rogers to his coaching staff.

Along with the Bulls, Rogers also spent time as an assistant with the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets (2008-2010, 2013-2014), Boston Celtics (on Rivers’ staff in 2010-2011), Detroit Pistons (2011-2012), Washington Wizards (2014-2016) and Houston Rockets (2016-2019).

After spending the 2019-2020 NBA season on Jim Boylen’s Bulls’ staff, the 47-year-old coach was let go by new Bulls head coach Billy Donovan on Oct. 12.

Last week, the 76ers hired former Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger as an assistant on Rivers’ staff, so Rogers could be the next one in line if he is ultimately hired.
