On Oct. 20, Boston Celtics’ Daniel Theis underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on his left knee, including removal of a loose body.

The surgery was performed by Celtics team physician Dr. Tony Schena at New England Baptist Hospital, the team announced.

The Celtics didn’t release an official specific timetable for Theis, but did say that his recovery is not expected to affect his ability to fully participate in training camp for the 2020-2021 NBA season.

This is the same knee that Theis had surgery on back in March 2018 when he had his left knee lateral meniscus repaired.

In 65 games this season, the 28-year-old averaged career-highs with 9.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 blocks per game.

Theis then averaged 8.9 points, 7.1 rebounds 1.5 assists and 1.2 blocks in 17 playoff games against the Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat.
