Nick Nurse had nothing but good words to say about fellow NBA coaches Brad Stevens and Erik Spoelstra.
“I have a lot of respect for those guys. They were awesome,” Nurse told Fran Fraschilla during his appearance on the World of Basketball podcast.
Nurse and the Toronto Raptors faced Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals, but got eliminated (4-3).
Stevens and the Celtics advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals and clashed with Erik Spoelstra and the Miami Heat, losing 4-2.
Spoelstra and the Heat went on to battle the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals and were defeated 4-2.
