Anthony Davis should sign a new deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to NBA executives.
Davis plans to opt out of his current contract and sign a new one with the Lakers.
Per the executives, the big man of the Lakers should agree on a two-year deal with his team.
“Most NBA executives, who are not authorized to speak publicly on Davis’ situation, believe the seven-time All-Star forward’s best course is to opt out and sign a two-year deal with the Lakers that includes a player option for the second season,” Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Davis, along with LeBron James, led the Lakers to the 2020 NBA title.
