Bayern conquered Tel Aviv; excellent night for Vladimir Lučić

Vladimir Lučić and Bayern Munich survived Maccabi in Tel Aviv for the second win after three rounds (82-85).

With a career-high, the Serbian small forward helped his team claim the first-ever EuroLeague’s victory in Tel Aviv. Besides his career-high 26 points, Vladimir Lučić‘s performance index rating of 29 was also a career-best.

The key advantage of Bayern Munich was the excellent defensive play that forced the home team into turnovers, especially during their first three possessions.

The visitors collected 12 steals and Maccabi had 18 turnovers. All that before the fourth quarter. In the last period of the game, the home team managed to get back and worked its way from double-digit to a two-point deficit in the last minute. But, Bayern controlled the match till the end and now has a 2-1 record in the EuroLeague.

The best performer and MVP was definitely Vladimir Lučić with 26 points (3/3 for 2, 4/5 for three, 8/9 from the free-throw line), three rebounds, and two steals. Paul Zipser added 16 points, Jalen Reynolds 14, and Wade Baldwin IV 13.

For Maccabi, Scottie Wilbekin had 27 points with seven assists (index rating of 30). Ante Žižić ended the match with 19 points and six boards (index rating of 27).
