Dirk Nowitzki made a prediction on how successful Steve Nash will be as the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.
The NBA and Dallas Mavericks legend believes his good friend (and NBA Hall of Famer) will do ‘great’ as head coach of the Nets.
“That’s going to be a lot of fun (for Steve Nash) and it’s a lot of challenges, but I think he’s up for it. To me he was always a natural leader, with his positive attitude. He was always the first one to slap people on the butts when things weren’t working.
To me, he was one of the most positive teammates I’ve ever been around. I think he’s going to be great. He’ll learn more about the timeout situations, play-calling and stuff like that, but he already has what it takes to be a natural leader to me,” Nowitzki said, via Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News.
Nash, who signed a four-year contract with Brooklyn, will make his head coaching debut next season.
