The Dallas Mavericks will have one target on their mind in the 2021 free agency, per Brian Windhorst of ESPN. And its name is Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Per Windhorst, the Mavs will “be at the head of the line” to sign the back-to-back NBA MVP in the next offseason.

“They want to keep their books clear for 2021. I wouldn’t expect them to add any major free agents this year. They’re going to wait,” Windhorst reported, via the RealGM.

Antetokounmpo is eligible to sign a supermax contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason. If he declines it, then he will become a free agent in 2021.

For their part, the Mavs want to sign the “Greek Freak” and pair him with the star duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis.
