Mark Cuban shared his thoughts on the TV ratings of the NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat.

TV ratings hit all-time lows in the 2020 NBA Finals, with just 5.7 million viewers tuning into Game 5, per Nielsen Media Research.

For his part, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks believes the league should have done a better job to promote the series.

“I don’t think it has anything to do with politics. I just think we don’t have the match-up and the storylines, and we didn’t do a good job promoting it,” Cuban said in a podcast interview with Megyn Kelly.

The Lakers defeated the Heat in six games (4-2) and returned to the top of the NBA after 10 years.
