Goran Dragic wasn’t able to help the Miami Heat in four of the six final games of the season, as the veteran suffered a torn plantar fascia in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

Dragic was an important part of Miami’s playoff run that resulted in the franchise’s sixth Finals appearance. In general, the Heat faced injury issues during the 2020 NBA Finals, but they gave up everything to push the series in six games.

The Slovenian returned in Game 6, but was far from his usual self, as he played just under 19 minutes and finished with just five points on 2-of-8 shooting.

After the end of the season, Dragic sent a message to the Heat nation regarding Miami’s success and his injury woes through the Finals.

The veteran will be a free agent in the upcoming offseason. He had an incredible year with the Heat, as he averaged 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game during the regular season.

During the postseason, he amped up his performance by posting 19.1 points, 4.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds per contest.
