The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James had a big night with 40 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

It was a narrow win for the Heat (111-108), who kept the series alive. After the game, LeBron shared his thoughts on the final minute of the fourth quarter.

“Obviously, it was back and forth. Big play after big play. Couple questionable calls that swayed their way, put Jimmy [Butler] to the free-throw line. Obviously, we can’t do that. He’s been damn near perfect at the free-throw line in this series,” James said.

“We just needed to get one step. We felt like if we can get one stop, we can do something on the offensive end. We got a hell of a look to win the game, to win the series. Didn’t go down.

“And then we got an offensive rebound. We turned the ball over. I thought we had a lot more time than we thought after the offensive rebound. Pass wasn’t executed as we would like. We got to be better in Game 6 and close the series.”
