Kristaps Porzingis had a right knee surgery on Friday, as announced by the Dallas Mavericks.

The superstar of the Mavericks had the surgery to repair a meniscus tear.

Porzingis got injured in Game 1 of the first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. He played in Games 2 and 3 and missed the remainder of the series.

Following Dallas’ elimination, he decided the best option for him was to have surgery to repair the damage.

There is still no timetable for his recovery, therefore he may miss the start of the 2020/21 season, which will likely start in January.
