Jared Dudley reacted to the Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka being snubbed from the Executive of the Year for the 2019-2020 season.

Pelinka traded for Anthony Davis the past offseason and added serious veteran talent around LeBron James and AD. The Lakers, who are one win away from the NBA championship, saw their GM getting voted as the 7th best executive of the season.

“This is a joke right???? Over Rob Pelinka??? Stop it!!!! AD trade, signing Dwight Howard, Avery Bradley, and the best trade deadline move was signing Markieff Morris. Oh yeah and the Lakers was the best team in the west and 2nd overall.. Said we gave up to much for AD,” the veteran tweeted, after receiving the news.

On Thursday, the NBA announced L.A. Clippers president of basketball operations Lawrence Frank won the 2019-20 Executive of the Year award.

The Lakers finished the season as the second best team in the NBA and the top-seed in the tough Western Conference. However, Frank was also instrumental in building a contender, despite the disappointing result in the Orlando ‘bubble’ for the Clippers team.

Pelinka has not been among the top selections in votes for the NBA executives, but he is on the verge of winning an NBA championship, with the Lakers being up 3-1 against the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Finals.
