Auburn’s Isaac Okoro is expected to be a lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. However, the defensive-minded forward sees himself as the possible No.1 pick and makes the case why teams should look to pick him in the upcoming Draft.

“Yes, I feel I should be the No. 1 pick because I go out every game and I compete and I give 100 percent effort,” Okoro said in his recent interview with Forbes’ Adam Zagoria.

“I’m just willing to do whatever any coaches want me to do, so I feel like me bringing a winning culture I should be the No. 1 pick.”

Okoro isn’t among the names frequently mentioned for the first three selections of this year’s lottery, as LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman are considered the possibly most talented players of the 2020 class.

A former four-star recruit, Okoro averaged 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and two assists per game last season while being named to the SEC All-Defense, SEC All-Freshman and second-team All-SEC teams.
