Brett Brown let Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons ‘do whatever they wanted’, according to an Eastern Conference executive.

The Eastern Conference executive believes this will change under new head coach Doc Rivers.

“I think he will do a better job with Philly’s culture and with Embiid and Simmons. From what I’ve heard, Brett (Brown) allowed Joel and Ben to do whatever they wanted, and it really hurt the culture,” the executive told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Brown left the Philadelphia 76ers after the team got swept by the Boston Celtics in the opening round of the playoffs.

Rivers, who parted ways with the Los Angeles Clippers after seven years, came in as his replacement.
