Round 1 also saw Zalgiris Kaunas escape from Piraeus with a big victory over Olympiacos (67-68), while Valencia survived ASVEL Villeurbanne in a late thriller (65-63).
In addition, Maccabi Tel-Aviv defeated ALBA Berlin (80-73) and Barcelona rallied past CSKA Moscow in a EuroLeague classic (76-66).
Round 1 will come to an end on Friday with four games.
