The Indiana Pacers may become a landing sport for the biggest head coach name in the market, Mike D’Antoni. After the Sixers agreed to terms with Doc Rivers, the Pacers may sit down with D’Antoni, with veteran coach missing out the Sixers opening, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

(via Bleacher Report):

“He was very intrigued with the Philadelphia situation,” Wojnarowski said on SportsCenter. “There are still openings out there – I think one that bears watching, perhaps, is Indiana. The Pacers are still in the early stages of a search. They’ve been talking to candidates. They haven’t narrowed the field down too far yet.”

The Pacers parted ways with Nate McMillan mid-August, after an early playoff opening-round exit in the series against the NBA Finalists Miami Heat.
