Joel Embiid welcomed Doc Rivers via his social media accounts, as the Philadelphia 76ers and the veteran coach reportedly agreed to terms, just days after Rivers parted ways with the Los Angeles Clippers.
According to Ramona Shelburne, both Embiid and Rivers spoke before the news went public, as they know each other since a Basketball without Borders trip to Senegal a few years ago.
The Philadelphia 76ers obviously believe Rivers could make the most of their two superstars, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons.
However, the franchise will need to address issues around the roster, which contains enough ill-fitted pieces surrounding its superstars.
