Following the West’s top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers beat the East’s fifth-seeded Miami Heat 116-98 on Wednesday night, LeBron James credits the Lakers’ attention to detail for turning Game 1 around after a slow start.

He also talks about Anthony Davis’ first NBA Finals appearance, saying he expected a big performance out of his teammate and he isn’t surprised by his 34-point outing.

LeBron then recalls (3:05) Game 2 of the 2011 Finals between Miami and Dallas (when Dirk Nowitzki’s clutch shot late in the fourth quarter erased the Heat’s double-digit lead) and says that moment shaped him as a player as he makes sure not to take any lead for granted.

(6:18) James talks about “playoff Rondo” and why he and the team don’t refer to point guard Rajon Rondo as such.

Los Angeles now own a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series vs. Miami. Game 2 will take place on Friday night:
