Sports analyst Skip Bayless slammed LeBron James for playing almost the whole fourth quarter in the Lakers’ blowout win over the Heat in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

According to Bayless, the reason why LeBron played in the final period when the winner was clear is because he was trying to improve his stats for his legacy.

Los Angeles entered the fourth quarter with a 26-point advantage over Miami. James played for more than 11 minutes before being substituted. During that time, he scored eight out of his game-total 25 points.

“This is vintage, classic, front-running, stat-padding for LeBron James’ legacy. He needs playoff numbers. So what does he do? They are killing the Heat and LeBron says: ‘I’m gonna play the whole 4th quarter,'” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED.
