Dwight Howard returned to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010, when his Orlando Magic faced the Los Angeles Lakers. The Los Angeles Lakers’ veteran talked about his role and his mentality going forward.

Howard was an important piece of the Lakers’ rotation in the Western Conference Finals series versus the Denver Nuggets, while he was a starter in his team’s Game 1 win over the Miami Heat.

“I understand how this moment is and how you have got to take advantage of it,” the veteran center said. Howard would likely have an important role in the Finals’ series perfectly matching up against Miami’s All-Star center Bam Adebayo.

Game 2 of the series is on Friday.
