The Philadelphia 76ers interviewed Tyronn Lue for their head coaching vacancy on Tuesday, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The former NBA champion met with the Sixers and toured the team’s facility, according to Pompey.

Lue and former Houston Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni were considered the finalists for Brett Brown’s former job before the Clippers parted ways with Doc Rivers on Monday.

The Sixers are still going to build around their two young stars, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, searching to position them in the best possible place under a head coach with a championship or winning pedigree.

Philadelphia came to the decision to part ways with Brett Brown, after a disappointing season that ended up with an early playoff first round exit in the postseason.
