LaMelo Ball is projected to be one of the top picks in the 2020 NBA Draft, which will take place in a few weeks. The young prospect had a media session on Monday as part of the NBA Draft combine.

Ball spoke on the possibility of going first in the Draft board, his talks with several teams including the Knicks and the influence of his father Lavar Ball on the process.

“My old man, he’s his own man. He has his opinions, I have mine,” LaMelo Ball said. “Like I said, I feel like I can play on any team and do good, wherever I go. Anything that happens, I’m positive.”

The 6-foot-7 point guard signed with the Illawarra Hawks of Australia’s National Basketball League last year. Ball played in only 12 games due to a foot injury, but he averaged 17.0 points, 6.8 assists and 7.6 rebounds over those twelve appearances.
