Andrew Wiggins opened up about Jimmy Butler, ahead of the latter’s first appearance in the NBA Finals.
Butler and Wiggins were teammates in the Minnesota Timberwolves and reportedly had a beef in the 2017/18 season.
This reportedly was one of the main reasons Butler requested a trade from Minnesota prior to the 2018/19 season.
Yet, it seems there are no hard feelings between the two players at the moment.
“I’ve been rooting for them. Jimmy, he was a great teammate. Hell of a competitor. what he’s brought over there, bringing those guys to the Finals, it’s a huge accomplishment. It just shows what he can do.
Even when he was in Minnesota, everyone forgets we were third in a very packed West before he got hurt. So he was capable and he went to a good team, Miami, and the rest is history,” Wiggins said, via Nick Friedell of ESPN.
Wiggins is currently playing for the Golden State Warriors.
