Erik Spoelstra out-coached the top head coaches of the East to reach the 2020 NBA Finals with the Miami Heat, where they will face the Los Angeles Lakers.
Stan Van Gundy, the veteran NBA coach and former head coach of the Magic and the Pistons, had high praise for Spoelstra’s ability.
“Erik Spoelstra should finally get the credit he deserves. Put him in the Hall of Fame now.”
Spoelstra is already a two-time NBA champion with the Heat. He has the chance to add one more, and certainly get into the conversation of entering the Basketball Hall of Fame. The NBA Finals start on Wednesday.
