The Los Angeles Lakers are the Western Conference champions after defeating the Denver Nuggets in five games. They will face either the Miami Heat or the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.

According to NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, the Lakers want to play against the Heat in the Finals. Shaq did not reveal the source of such claim though. The four-time NBA champion, who won three of those titles with the Lakers, assured the statement was correct.

“This is no surprise. We expected the or the Clippers to be there. They’re just doing what they are supposed to be doing. I’m really happy for the Laker organization. We all lost a good man this year. It’s good for the organization. Especially if they can win it,” O’Neal said on TNT.

“I like how when they were going through the ceremony LeBron was standing in the back because he’s not happy yet. He wants to win it. It’s 10th time going to the Finals so to be able to come to LA, bring AD all the stuff that’s around it, to bring the city back together and win the championship that’ll be a phenomenal accomplishment.

“They’re just going to sit back tonight celebrate and say ‘We’re going to play Boston or Miami.’ But something tells me they want the Miami Heat. I’m not allowed to give you my sources but I know they want the Miami Heat. Chuck, certified man is talking over here.”
