With the NBA Draft being seven weeks away, the New York Knicks are strongly consider choosing Isaac Okoro with the No.8, per Marc Berman of the NY Post.

According to Berman, Okoro is fitting perfectly with Tom Thibodeau’s system, which prioritizes defense. Okoro averaged 12.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest in 28 games with Auburn.

“The Knicks had made drafting a point guard a priority, but have strongly considered defensive forward Isaac Okoro of Auburn at No. 8, to fit Thibodeau’s defensive mindset,” Berman wrote.

The Knicks got back to the court on Wednesday with Thibodeau evaluating the Knicks’ roster pieces ahead of the 2020-21 season.
