Michael Malone explained why he had to keep Jamal Murray on the floor for 45 minutes in Game 4 against the Lakers.
Murray had a team-high 32 points (12/20 shooting) and eight assists.
“I’m running the poor kid into the ground, but when we take him out things seem to go sideways in a hurry,” Malone told reporters, via Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports.
The Nuggets suffered a painful defeat (114-108) and are down 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals series.
Game 5 is on Saturday.
