The Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant was almost the unanimous rookie of the year this season getting 99 out of 100 media members vote for him.

However, one member of the journalist voting list had a different opinion and Ja Morant called him out in a jokingly manner.

Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times explained the reason he voted for Zion Williamson. After that, Morant seemed to respect his view, at least on social media.

Morant played in 59 games this season leading the Memphis Grizzlies one game away from the postseason.

On the other hand, Williamson participated in 24 games, before the season hiatus back in March.
