Charles Barkley spoke on NBA on TNT show about Giannis Antetokounmpo and the 2021 free agency. The former Sixers and Suns legend expressed his view on Giannis getting out of Milwaukee to win a championship.

“I don’t want him to go and cheat and try to join other guys and win it. I want him to get better as a player,” Barkley said.

The back-to-back MVP had a disappointing postseason with the Milwaukee Bucks, one year prior to his contract expiration.

Antetokounmpo will enter the market as an unrestricted free agent in 2021. Barkley also referred to Michael Jordan, who won his first championship when he was 28 years old, while the 2019-2020 MVP is still 25.

Giannis became the third player to win the DPOY and the MVP award in the same season, behind Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuwon.

The Bucks lost to the Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals, but next season will try to run it back in order to win their first championship since 1972.
