The Golden State Warriors have continued to make known that they are not as high on LaMelo Ball ahead of the 2020 NBA Draft.

According to Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Warriors are having Deni Avdija higher in their draft board than LaMelo Ball and even James Wiseman.

“According to league sources, Golden State is believed to be higher on Avdija than on Ball and perhaps even Wiseman. But if the Warriors decide they want Avdija, they might be best served trading back to the 5-to-8 range, where most experts expect him to go,” Letourneau wrote in his latest piece.

Avdija would be a perfect positional fit for the Warriors’ roster as a forward that can provide playmaking, shooting and score in the open court.

However, other players in the class are considered better talent-wise than the forward from Israel, but choosing fit over talent backfired against many teams in the past drafts.
