Giannis Antetokounmpo talked about his future after winning the MVP award during his MVP speech. This is Antetokounmpo’s second in a row. Now, with a potential free agency in the midst, Antetokounmpo told people what his decision will probably be.

Antetokounmpo averaged 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game this season. The Milwaukee Bucks didn’t win the championship though. That raises a big question. Will Giannis Antetokounmpo stay with the Milwaukee Bucks?

The MVP added insight on that:

“As long as everybody’s on the same page and as long as everybody’s fighting for the same thing, fighting for the same thing every single day, which is to be a champion, I don’t see why not to be in Milwaukee for the next 15 years,” he said.

Antetokounmpo says he wants to be in Milwaukee. If he is going to do that, then he will have to play point guard. That will negate his lack of shooting ability. The Bucks have to find a second scorer. Khris Middleton has not been able to create his own shot from mid-range.

A player like Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have the complete offensive arsenal that the Bucks need. Middleton as a third piece will be great because they will not need him to create his own shot. Antetokounmpo needs a scorer alongside him for the team to go far.

Antetokounmpo is now a two-time MVP, but the team has not had the success it needs yet. This year’s offseason will probably be more important than the year after. If the Bucks can get the player they want, then signing Antetokounmpo will be easier.

The Bucks were the best team in the East and then they flopped in the playoffs. Now, they will have to try again next season.
