Former NBA champion Shaun Livingston will take over a post in the front office of the Golden State Warriors.

Per Marcus Thompson of The Athletic, Livingston will sign his contract with Golden State and will become an executive.

“I want to serve people. I want to help others. That’s what I get the most joy out of. So whether it’s at the boys club, you know, Salvation Army — whatever it is, it is going to be in service of other people,” Livingston said in a recent phone interview, via Thompson.

Livingston is a three-time NBA champion with the Warriors (2015, 2017, 2018) and retired after the end of the 2018/19 season.

The Warriors also hired Leandro Barbosa as a player mentor coach in the coaching staff of head coach Steve Kerr.
