NBA FINES RAPTORS $25,000
Toronto Raptors have been fined $25,000 for a breach of the NBA’s anti-tampering laws.
The fine comes due to rapper and Raptors global team ambassador Drake giving a shout out to Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant at the end of one of his concerts and telling him that he should join Toronto.
Due to Drake’s official role within the Raptors, the league frowned upon the comments, which seemed innocent but can’t be yelled like that.

Serbia’s Vasilije Micic will miss the FIBA World Cup due to a knee injury.
The Bayern Munich point guard will however be fit again for the start of the new domestic league season and Euroleague.

Serbia’s Nemanja Nedovic, who was originally sidelined due to a fractured foot has now been given permission by the Golden State Warriors to join his Serbian team-mates at the World Cup.
The fractured foot was downgraded to an injured foot and Nedovic hopes to play in Spain this summer.

“This is a new beginning for me in my life. Although I’m back with the same team after my contract extension, for me it’s a new opportunity for the team and for the city,“ Caremlo Anthony said during his visit to Puerto Rico this week.
“I do not expect to win a championship this year. That’s something that takes time and everything has to be in sync, from management to players. We have much work to do, but something that drives me. I know we can start creating the foundation of what we do. It’s the start of a good process.
“Next year we will have enough money to spend within the salary cap. But this year it is important to take the necessary steps towards those who will in the next year. I want to concentrate on building what we want from this year.”
