Jayson Tatum shared his thoughts on the Eastern Conference Finals matchup against the Miami Heat.

Tatum believes the hard-fought battle against the Toronto Raptors will help Boston better adjust to the clash with the Heat.

“They’re bigger than us, for the most part. They’re a great team, well coached. They’ve got some great players. And they compete. So I think Toronto is a great test for us, because Toronto, they compete as hard as anybody, and they make you bring it every night.

So going toe to toe, going seven with them, I think it’ll really help us going forward next round. Because we’re here to compete for a championship. So, getting a couple days off will help. Just got to get ready for Miami,” Tatum said, via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Game 1 between the Celtics and the Heat is on Tuesday.
