LeBron James stuffed the stat sheet as the Los Angeles Lakers cruised to a 119-96 Game 5 victory over the Houston Rockets. The Lakers have won four consecutive games after losing in Game 1.
James finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block. He got off to a hot start and had an answer every time the Rockets tried to make a push.
No one else scored 20 points for Los Angeles, but they had contributions throughout their lineup. The Lakers played well defensively and didn’t give Houston many easy buckets.
The Lakers also imposed their will on the glass and out-rebounded the Rockets 50-31. In Game 4 they out-rebounded Houston 52-26.
The Lakers will take on either the Clippers or Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals. The Clippers currently lead that series 3-2.
