Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics was not too happy with the Toronto Raptors head coach for an episode that led to a turnover by Jayson Tatum.
With 45 seconds left to play in the fourth quarter of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, Nurse was standing inbounds in the left corner as Tatum penetrated.
He tried to pass the ball but it went directly to the Raptors head coach. Which ended with a turnover for the Celtics.
Although Tatum did not seem to fuss with the incident, saying it was his own fault, Brown had a different opinion.
“Grown men should be able to control themselves. Especially coaching staff,” Brown said after the Celtics’ loss referring to the above incident.
Toronto ended up winning the Game 6 thriller in double overtime. The reigning NBA champions tied the series for the second time. Boston had a 2-0 lead in the series.
