Nikola Jokic had an impressive Game 3 performance for the Denver Nuggets, but his teammates weren’t in a position to follow him and close out the game vs. the Clippers on Monday.

Jamal Murray, who had an incredible first-round series, knows that he wasn’t in that position and that hurt Denver. “It wasn’t really anything they did,” said Murray, per Denver Post’s Mike Singer. “Not at all. I just missed so many shots. … I just gotta be better.”

The Canadian missed 12 of his 17 shots in a 113-107 loss, including several easy buckets in the last 12 minutes. Murray, who poured 27 points in Game 2, was really off for his team on Monday.

Murray is averaging 27.4 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 47 percent from beyond the arc in the playoffs. He also registers 6.5 assists and 4.9 rebounds per contest.
