Mike D’Antoni is not willing to reduce the playing time of Russell Westbrook, despite his struggles in Game 2.
Westbrook had 10 points (on 4/15 shooting), 13 rebounds, four assists, seven turnovers and an efficiency rate of -14.
“We’re not going to win anything without Russell. He’s going to break through it. He’s more upset than anybody. He’s a great, great player. He’ll be fine. Not worried about him,” D’Antoni said, per Ben DuBose of USA Today.
Westbrook and the Rockets saw the Los Angeles Lakers earn the 109-117 victory in Game 2 and even the series (1-1).
Game 3 is on Tuesday.
