Ball has one year left on his contract before he becomes a restricted free agent. He has underperformed as a second overall pick.
Young has missed the playoffs in his first two seasons. After having a big year again last year, next year will be a move towards playing in postseason.
Training together will pay dividends for the two young stars. Young needs some defensive guidance. Ball needs shot creating guidance. Next year will be defining years for both players.
