Dario Saric has opened his mouth before the FIBA World Cup starts. No bad mouthing though, just being an honest team player. It’s nice to see catually.

SARIC: CROATIA ARE FAVOURITES TOO.

He’s dreaming a little, but you certainly can not take away Dario Saric and his passion for the national team. The Anadolu Efes forward spoke with Croatian reporters and the conversation (as you would expect) of the World Cup came up.

“I can’t wait to see how we are going to look with Tomić, Žorić, Bogdanović and Ukić,” Saric said.

“Those four players joined the team this week, as coach Repesa gave them more rest because of injuries and exhausting season.

“USA and Spain are above everybody else, and I think we are the favorites if you compare us to everybody else. We really have a good team, everybody had a good season. It’s time to step it up.”

Croatia will be playing in Group B alongside Argentina, Greece, Puerto Rico, Philippines and Senegal.

RUDY GAY TO JOIN USA SQUAD

Sacramento Kings’ Rudy Gay has joined up with the USA World Cup squad as a replacement for Kevin Durant, ESPN reports.

Gay was part of the USA’s 2010 world championship winning team.
