The 2020 NBA draft is going to take place in few months and the Minnesota Timberwolves will be the first team to select an NBA prospect that night.

The Timberwolves are going to have a difficult decision to make between LaMelo Ball, Anthony Edwards and James Wiseman.

According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, the Minnesota’s franchise is expected to select Anthony Edwards as the best fitting talent with their two young stars, Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell.

“Most league insiders expect the Wolves to take Georgia guard Anthony Edwards, considered the best positional fit among the top three prospects (including National Basketball League guard LaMelo Ball and Memphis center James Wiseman).”

Russell was used as the primary play-initiator, after GM Gersson Rosas trade for him back in February. As a result, LaMelo Ball is not considered a great fit for Minnesota.

However, the former Nets and Warriors guard has been used as an off-ball scorer in both Brooklyn and Golden State in the past, especially in his breakout season in 2018.
