The head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Billy Donovan, shared his thoughts on the performance of Danilo Gallinari in Game 6 against the Rockets.

The Italian forward went for 25 points on Monday night, his highest point-tally in the series.

Donovan revealed that part of their game plan was to maximize Gallinari more.

“Today was trying to get Gallo a little bit more involved. Putting Gallo in some high-screening action, knowing that they were going to switch and then trying to get the floor spaced with Gallo in the high slot.

We were able to kind of get the floor organized…It’s hard for any really, really great offensive player to operate effectively without really, really good spacing,” the coach of the Thunder said, per Logan Newman of USA Today.

Game 7 will take place on Wednesday. The winner will face the Los Angeles Lakers in the semifinals.
