LeBron James was the last player to score 40 points for the Miami Heat in a playoff game in 2014. Tonight, Jimmy Butler took out the Milwaukee Bucks with an impressive performance.

Butler became the first Miami player to score 40 points in the postseason since 2014. That was a playoff career-high for the veteran superstar, who made some important buckets in the last five minutes of Game 1.

He is the third Miami Heat player with a 40-point game in the playoffs only behind LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, who had 7 and 3 such games in their playoff appearances with Miami.

Butler will have the chance to repeat that kind of performance in the series with the two teams meeting again on Wednesday.
