Orlando Magic president Jeff Weltman stated that forward Jonathan Isaac will miss the entire 2020-2021 NBA season.

“We will not have Jonathan Isaac next season,” Weltman said via Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.

In early August, Isaac underwent surgery on his left knee to repair a torn ACL and a meniscus tear he suffered in the team’s second “seeding game” in Orlando on Aug. 2 against the Sacramento Kings.

He also suffered a knee sprain and bone bruise back on Jan. 1 that caused him to miss games during the regular season before the season went on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Isaac was enjoying a breakout season where he averaged 11.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 2.3 blocks per game in 34 games.

The 22-year-old will be eligible for a rookie scale extension during this upcoming offseason and he will be a restricted free agent in 2021 if the Magic don’t sign him to a new deal.
