The Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd is interested in taking over the Philadelphia 76ers vacant head coaching position, per Keith Pompey.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reporter also tweeted that the Houston Rockets development coach John Lucas, who was the Sixers head coach for two seasons in the past (1994-96), may have interest in taking over Philadelphia.

After the Sixers parted ways with Brett Brown, several coaches came up as prime candidates including LA Clippers assistant coach Tyronn Lue.

Whatever direction the 76ers decide to go, the duo of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid will remain in Philly, as Elton Brand told reporters a couple of days back.

So, naturally, several high-profile NBA head coaches could be in the mix, as they have the chance to work with two highly polished players.
