Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis has a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Surgery is a possibility, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.

The team announced that further treatment options are still being explored, as he suffered the injury in Game 1.

Until now, it was unknown what exactly was wrong with Porzingis’ right knee, as there was no specific diagnosis other than soreness.

The Mavericks are down 3-2 in the series and with a loss next game, their season will be over.
