The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly decided to boycott Game 5 of their first-round playoff series with the Orlando Magic, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The teams were scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m ET on Wednesday afternoon but the Bucks never got out of the locker room, while the Magic headed back into theirs following the no-show.

This was done as a form of protest following the shooting of Jacob Blake. According to The Athletic, the Magic wanted to play but had no choice after the Bucks decided they were not going to compete.

NBA officials, including the league’s VP Kiki Vandeweghe, were in conversation with Milwaukee prior to the team confirming its intent – they ultimately decided not to play.

The Bucks lead the series 3-1 and were expected to close it out on Wednesday; we’re not sure how the league will handle this as it’s quite possible more teams follow suit. The Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics have discussed boycotting their series as well.
