Spencer Dinwiddie of the Brooklyn Nets shared an interesting take on why Kawhi Leonard will never be the greatest player of all time.

According to him, the Los Angeles Clippers superstar is a robot and does not have the backing of a sports industry giant. These are the main obstacles in his path to be considered the GOAT, per Dinwiddie.

“If he was in the business of trying to be the greatest of All-Time, the change point is probably having a little bit more regular season production, a little bit more flash, a little more pizzazz. And then also he should have probably stayed with Nike. Nike’s the greatest marketing company in the history of the world, especially as it pertains to the greatest of All-time basketball conversation,” the Nets point guard said.

“If you look at all the best athletes that have come through and people say are in the GOAT conversation, what’s the common denominator? Nike. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was adidas and he’s by far the best basketball player of All-Time if you look at highschool, college, pro. Nobody cares about him at all. It’s the truth! LeBron, Kobe, Mike, they tell the story better than anybody else,” he continued.

“Kawhi with New Balance. They’re gonna bury him. He will never be in the greatest of All-Time conversation… If you are robot like Kawhi is, no matter if you have the single greatest feat in NBA history .Three Finals MVP’s, three championships with three different teams. If LeBron does it, they’re solidifying him as the GOAT. Why isn’t it the same with Kawhi ’cause Kawhi’s beaten LeBron down.”
