Denver Nuggets guard Gary Harris has been upgraded from out to doubtful for Game 4 against the Utah Jazz on Aug. 23.

If he does eventually return, it will be his first game in over five months.

Harris has yet to play in the NBA restart in Orlando due to a right hip muscle strain and his potential return soon would provide a boost to the Nuggets perimeter defense.

The Nuggets have given up 38 three-pointers to the Jazz in the last two games and have been outscored by a total of 56 points in their two losses.

“I think he’s getting in a really good place mentally and physically and it would be great to get him back at some point in this series if that’s possible,” head coach Michael Malone recently said. “… I definitely think Gary’s getting closer and closer, but I also don’t want to put any pressure and lead anybody along.”
